(2Cor 5:21) “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

ON THE CROSS, GOD IMPUTED ALL OUR SINS ON CHRIST AND RECEIVED GOD’S RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION AND PUNISHMENT FOR ALL OUR SINS IN HIS BODY. GOD WAS PLEASED AND SATISFIED WITH THE PUNISHMENT CHRIST RECEIVED FOR ALL OUR SINS. GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS DEMANDS ACQUITTAL AND FORGIVENESS FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST; GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS DEMANDS THAT ALL WHO BELIEVE IN CHRIST BE MADE RIGHTEOUS. THUS WE ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST!

IN CHRIST, WE ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS NOT BECAUSE OF OUR “OBEDIENCE”, BUT BECAUSE OF CHRIST’S OBEDIENCE TO THE FATHER EVEN UNTO DEATH ON THEN CROSS.
(Rom 5:19) “For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Christ) the many will be made righteous.”

IN CHRIST, WE RECEIVE GOD’S ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE AND THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND FOR THIS REASON WE REIGN IN LIFE THROUGH CHRIST.
(Rom 5:17) “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.”

AS WE FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH, THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WE RECEIVED FROM GOD WILL PRODUCE FRUITS IN OUR LIVES. SO WE WILL BE FILLED WITH THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(Php 1:11) “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

RIGHTEOUSNESS UNDER THE NEW COVENANT IS A GIFT!
