IT’S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THE SIGN GIVEN BY THE ANGEL TO THE SHEPHERDS REGARDING THE BIRTH OF JESUS WAS: “YOU WILL FIND A BABY WRAPPED IN CLOTHS AND LYING IN A MANGER.”
(Luke 2:12-13) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
THE WORD MANGER MEANS “FEEDING TROUGH”; IN FRENCH, IT MEANS “TO EAT” AND IN LATIN, IT MEANS “TO CHEW”. THE PLACE WHERE JESUS WAS BORN IS BETHLEHEM, WHICH MEANS THE “HOUSE OF BREAD”.
IN THE BOOK OF JOHN THE LORD JESUS SAID:
(John 6:48) I am the bread of life.
(John 6:49) Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died.
(John 6:50) But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.
(John 6:51) I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
