WHEN THE APOSTLE PAUL SAID IN HIS FAREWELL MESSAGE TO THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH IN EPHESUS THAT HE DID NOT SHUN DECLARING THE “WHOLE COUNCIL OF GOD”, TO THEM, HE WAS PRACTICALLY REFERRING TO THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” THAT THE RESURRECTED CHRIST REVEALED AND ENTRUSTED TO HIM (Gal 1-11-12).
(Act 20:21) I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
(Act 20:22) “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
(Act 20:23) I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.
(Act 20:24) However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE.
(Act 20:25) “Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.
(Act 20:26) Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
(Act 20:27) For I have not shunned to declare to you the WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD.
TOWARDS THE END OF HIS FAREWELL MESSAGE, HE THEN COMMITTED THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH IN EPHESUS TO GOD AND THE “WORD OF HIS GRACE” WHICH IS ABLE TO BUILD THEM UP AND GIVE THEM INHERITANCE AMONG ALL THOSE WHO ARE SANCTIFIED.
(Act 20:32) “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the WORD OF HIS GRACE, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
IT IS THEREFORE INCUMBENT UPON ALL PASTORS TO KNOW THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” REVEALED BY CHRIST TO THE APOSTLE PAUL WHO WAS ALSO SET APART BY GOD FOR THE GOSPEL (GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE). HE WAS APPOINTED TO BE A HERALD AND AN APOSTLE AND A TEACHER OF TRUE FAITH TO THE GENTILES.
(1Tim 2:7) And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
IT’S ALL ABOUT GRACE!
