THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE LAW HAS AUTHORITY OVER A MAN ONLY AS LONG AS HE LIVES. (Rom 7:1) “Do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to men who know the law—that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?
FOR THIS REASON, GOD IN HIS WISDOM CRUCIFIED US WITH CHRIST SO THAT THE ‘BODY OF SIN” MIGHT BE DONE AWAY WITH; BECAUSE ANYONE WHO HAS DIED HAS BEEN FREED FROM SIN.
(Rom 6:6-7) “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.”
BY DYING WITH CHRIST, WE HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE LAW.
(Rom 7:6) “But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been RELEASED FROM THE LAW so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.”
BY BECOMING PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST, WE ALSO “DIED FROM THE LAW”.
(Rom 7:4) “So, my brothers, you also DIED TO THE LAW through the body of Christ that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.”
THE STORY DID NOT END THERE, GOD IN HIS WISDOM RAISED US UP WITH CHRIST AND SEATED US WITH HIM IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS. HE DID THIS IN ORDER THAT IN THE COMING AGES HE MIGHT SHOW THE INCOMPARABLE RICHES OF HIS GRACE, EXPRESSED IN HIS KINDNESS TO US IN CHRIST JESUS.”
(Eph 2:6-7) “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”
