BEAR IN MIND THAT IN CHRIST, GOD MADE US RIGHTEOUS WHILE WE WERE STILL UNRIGHTEOUS. (Rom 4:5) “However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.”
IT WAS THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST TO THE FATHER THAT MADE US RIGHTEOUS AND NOT OURS. (Rom 5:19) “For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Christ) the many will be made righteous.”

YOU SEE, GOD LAID ON CHRIST THE INIQUITY OF US ALL. HE RECEIVED GOD’S WRATH AND ANGER IN HIS BODY AND SETTLED ALL OUR DEBTS LEGALLY, JUSTLY, AND RIGHTEOUSLY! GOD’S JUSTICE WAS SATISFIED AND HIS HOLY LAW WAS MAGNIFIED.
(Isaiah 53:5-6, 10a) “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed…………and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all……yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him and cause him to suffer”

GOD DID NOT COMPROMISE IN SAVING US–JUSTICE WAS INVOLVED; WE ARE LEGALLY FORGIVEN AND LEGALLY JUSTIFIED!
(Rom 3:23-25a) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice.”

FOR THIS REASON, UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, GOD IS NOT COUNTING SIN AGAINST US.
(2Cor. 5:19a) “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.”

UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, GOD SAID: “FOR I WILL FORGIVE THEIR WICKEDNESS AND WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”
(Heb 8:12-13) “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.”

YOU SEE, CHRIST FULFILLED ALL THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW IN US. HE PAID WHAT WE CANNOT PAY AND OBEYED WHAT WE CANNOT OBEY.
(Rom 8:3) “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.”

REMEMBER, CHRIST PAID ALL OUR SINS TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO. AND WE WERE NOT EVEN BORN YET.
NOW, WHAT SIN IN YOUR LIFE DO YOU SUPPOSE CHRIST PAID?
IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT CHRIST PAID IN FULL ALL THE SINS OF OUR ENTIRE LIVES. AND THE PAYMENT IS APPLIED WHEN YOU ACCEPT CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR.

NOW, MY QUESTION IS, IF GOD MADE US RIGHTEOUS WHILE WE WERE STILL UNRIGHTEOUS, WHAT MADE YOU THINK THAT YOU WILL BE MADE UNRIGHTEOUS IF YOU COMMITTED AN UNRIGHTEOUS ACT?

MAKE NO MISTAKE; GRACE DOES NOT PROMOTE SIN; UNDER GRACE, WE BECOME SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(Rom. 6:18) “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”

IN FACT, GRACE IS A GOOD TEACHER!
(Tit 2:11-13) “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ”

UNDER GRACE, WE BECOME SLAVES TO GOD, PRODUCING FRUIT TO HOLINESS.
(Rom 6:22) “But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”

OBEDIENCE TO THE “DOCTRINE OF GRACE” SETS YOU FREE FROM SIN AND MAKES YOU SLAVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(Rom 6:17-18) “But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.”

UNDER GRACE, YOU ARE NO LONGER IN THE FLESH BUT IN THE SPIRIT BECAUSE THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU.
(Rom 8:9) But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

FOR THIS REASON, UNDER GRACE, IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT GUIDES US BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW.
(Gal 5:18) “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.”

FURTHERMORE, UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT) WE ARE ADMONISHED TO LOVE JUST AS CHRIST LOVES US.
(John 13:34) “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you”

BEAR IN MIND THAT “LOVE” IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW
(Rom. 13:10b) “Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT), WE ARE ADMONISHED TO FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.
(Heb 12:2a) “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”

UNDER GRACE, (NEW COVENANT), WE ARE ADMONISHED TO DO EVERYTHING WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AS WORKING FOR THE LORD, NOT FOR MEN.
(Col 3:23-24) “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
