GOD SENT HIS SON TO REDEEM US FROM THE LAW THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE FULL RIGHTS OF SONS.
(Gal 4:4-5) “But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.”
CHRIST NOT ONLY REDEEMED US FROM THE LAW, BUT HE ALSO MEDIATED A NEW COVENANT OF GRACE WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED ON BETTER PROMISES AND PLACED US UNDER IT.
(Heb 8:6) “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”
THE SAD THING IS, THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST ARE SUPPOSEDLY ENJOYING ALL THE BENEFITS OF THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE THAT CHRIST MEDIATED FOR THEM, BUT IN REALITY, MANY OF OUR PULPITS TODAY DEPRIVE BELIEVERS OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE NEW COVENANT AND THE GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE THAT TEACHES IT.
BELIEVERS ARE PLACED BACK UNDER THE YOKE OF SLAVERY TO THE LAW BY FEEDING THEM WITH OLD COVENANT DOS AND DON’TS AND ITS RELIGIOSITIES INSTEAD OF CHRIST, HIS LOVE, HIS GRACE, HIS NEW COVENANT, HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS AND ALL THE BENEFITS THEREOF.
PETER WAS RIGHT WHEN HE DEFENDED THE GENTILE CHRISTIANS WHO WERE BEING FORCED BY CHRISTIAN PHARISEES TO EMBRACE AND BE SUBJECT TO THE ENTIRE LAW.
(Act 15:10-11) “Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?” No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”
PUTTING YOUR TRUST IN THE “LAW” ALIENATES YOU FROM CHRIST! BEAR IN MIND THAT “LAW” AND “GRACE” ARE TWO DIFFERENT COVENANTS.
(Gal 5:4) “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.”
ONLY UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT), CAN SIN LOSES ITS POWER OVER YOU. YOU SEE, GRACE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT OF SIN!
(Rom 6:14) “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”
UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT), WE ARE ADMONISHED TO FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS, BECAUSE HE IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.
(Heb 12:2a) “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”
UNDER THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE, WE ARE ADMONISHED TO LIVE BY FAITH.
“The righteous shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:17)
“Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb 11:6)
“We live by faith not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7)
“According to your faith it shall be done to you. (Matt 9:29)
“Fight a good fight of faith.” (1 Tim 6:12)
(Rom 4:13) “It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.”
(Rom 4:16a) “Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring.”
