ONE OF THE REASONS THE “LAW” (TEN COMMANDMENTS) WAS GIVEN WAS, NOT FOR MEN TO BE RIGHTEOUS, BUT FOR “SIN” TO INCREASE!
(Rom 5:20a) “The law was added so that the trespass might increase.”

HOWEVER, IN CHRIST, GOD PLACED US “UNDER GRACE” OR UNDER THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE THAT CHRIST MEDIATED WITH THE FATHER.
AND UNDER THIS COVENANT, IF SIN INCREASES, GRACE SUPERABOUND!
(Rom 5:20a) “The law was added so that the trespass might increase.”
(Rom 5:20b) “But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.”

THE APOSTLE PAUL’S DETRACTORS SARCASTICALLY CONCLUDED THAT IF GRACE IS GREATER THAN SIN AND IF EVERY TIME WE SIN GRACE INCREASES, LET US THEREFORE SIN MORE SO THAT GRACE WILL INCREASE MORE. THE APOSTLE PAUL REACTED BY SAYING, “BY NO MEANS!”
(Rom 6:1-2a) What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means!

CHARLES H. SPURGEON WAS RIGHT WHEN HE SAID THAT THOSE WHO CALLED THE DOCTRINE OF GOD’S GRACE “A LICENTIOUS DOCTRINE” DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT IT.

YOU SEE, THOSE WHO OPPOSED GRACE DO NOT REALIZE THAT GRACE IS A GOOD TEACHER!
(Tit 2:11-13) “For the Grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ”

BEAR IN MIND THAT SIN IS POWERLESS UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT).
(Rom 6:14-15) “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!”

GOD’S GRACE WHEN PREACHED AND UNDERSTOOD CAUSES OVERFLOWING THANKSGIVING TO THE GLORY OF GOD.
(2Cor 4:15) “All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.”
