MAKE NO MISTAKE; “FAITH IN CHRIST” THAT MUST STILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY “GOOD WORKS” IN ORDER TO SAVE IS NOT THE GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS). IN FACT, IT NEGATES THE ENTIRE MESSAGE OF THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE”. SALVATION IS BY GOD’S GRACE THROUGH CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS.
(Eph 2:8-9) “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

YOU SEE, GOD JUSTIFIES A PERSON BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS WHILE HE WAS STILL UNGODLY; GOD DOES NOT WAIT FOR A PERSON TO DO “GOOD WORKS” ADDED TO HIS FAITH IN CHRIST BEFORE HE SAVES HIM.
(Rom 4:4-5) “Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.”

REMEMBER, GRACE IS UNMERITED FAVOR; YOU CAN NOT EARN IT, WORK FOR IT, OR DESERVE IT. YOU CAN ONLY RECEIVE IT BY FAITH IN CHRIST!

THE REPENTANT THIEF ON THE CROSS FOR INSTANCE, WAS SAVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE. SURELY HE WAS NOT SAVED BECAUSE HIS FAITH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY “GOOD WORKS”. HOWEVER, SHOULD HE WAS GIVEN A CHANCE TO LIVE, I AM SURE HIS FAITH IN CHRIST WOULD PRODUCE GOOD WORKS.

THE APOSTLE PAUL HIMSELF WAS NOT SAVED BECAUSE HIS “FAITH” WAS ACCOMPANIED BY “GOOD WORKS”. HE WAS SAVED BECAUSE HE BELIEVED IN JESUS CHRIST AFTER HE APPEARED TO HIM ON HIS WAY TO DAMASCUS (Acts 9:1-35).

GOD RECONCILED US TO HIMSELF WHILE WE WERE STILL ENEMIES THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS SON.
(Rom 5:8) “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Rom 5:10) “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”

THIS IS HOW WE ARE INCLUDED IN CHRIST. (Eph 1:13) “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”

THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD FOR THE SALVATION OF ANYONE WHO BELIEVES.
(Rom 1:16-17) “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’”
