THE APOSTLE PETER NEVER CEASES TO REMIND HIS BRETHREN TO BE ESTABLISHED IN THE “PRESENT TRUTH” ALTHOUGH THEY ALREADY WERE. (2Pe 1:12) “For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.”

THE “PRESENT TRUTH” THAT PETER WAS TALKING ABOUT WAS NONE OTHER THAN THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” THAT CHRIST REVEALED TO THE APOSTLE PAUL (Gal 1:11-12/Acts 20:24), AND THAT YEARS LATER WAS ASKED BY GOD TO ALSO BE SHARED TO THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS IN JERUSALEM.
(Gal 2:1-2a) “Fourteen years later I went back to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. I went because God revealed to me that I should go. In a private meeting with the leaders I explained the gospel message that I preach to the Gentiles.” (Gnb)

THE APOSTLE PAUL CLAIMED EXCLUSIVITY OF REVELATION OF THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” BY USING THE WORD “MY GOSPEL”.
(Rom 16:25-26) “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to MY GOSPEL and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith”

PAUL NOT ONLY CLAIMED THE UNIVERSALITY OF THE GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE, BUT REITERATES HIS CALLING AS ITS MINISTER.
(Col 1:23b) “This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.”

HE MENTIONED IN HIS LETTER TO TIMOTHY THAT SOUND DOCTRINE CONFORMS TO THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL THE GOD ENTRUSTED TO HIM.
(1Ti 1:10-11) “for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.”

IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
