Jesus was God’s covenant for the people and a light to the gentiles

Jesus was God’s covenant for the people and a light to the gentiles

GOD MADE JESUS TO BE A COVENANT FOR THE PEOPLE AND A LIGHT TO THE GENTILES.
(Isa 42:6) “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.”

HE WAS THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW COVENANT ESTABLISHED ON BETTER PROMISES.
(Heb 8:6) But now He (Jesus) has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED….
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(Joh 3:17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
(Joh 3:18) “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He was never caught unaware of the fall of man

He was never caught unaware of the fall of man

IN GOD’S ECONOMY, CHRIST, THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD, WAS SLAIN BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD.
(Revelation 13:8) “All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.”

IN FACT, GOD’S GRACE THAT WE NOW ENJOY WAS GIVEN US IN CHRIST BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME.
(2 Timothy 1:9) “Who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time”

THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE THAT WE HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS WAS PROMISED BY GOD BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME.
(Titus 1:2) “A faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time”

FOR THESE REASONS, ONE CAN SAY THAT GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDEEMING BILLIONS OF HUMAN BEINGS THROUGH HIS GRACE GIVEN IN CHRIST JESUS; AND THAT GOD WAS NOT CAUGHT UNAWARE OF THE FALL OF MAN.

He was crushed for our iniquities

He was crushed for our iniquities

IN CHRIST, OUR RECEIVING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW GOOD WE ARE, BUT ON HOW PERFECT CHRIST’S WORK ON THE CROSS IS. YOU SEE, EVERY GOOD THING IN OUR LIVES MUST COME THROUGH THE CROSS AND ALL WE CAN DO IS TO RECEIVE IT BY FAITH.

YOU SEE, CHRIST TOOK ALL OUR INFIRMITIES AND WAS CRUSHED FOR OUR INIQUITIES; THE PUNISHMENT THAT BROUGHT US PEACE WAS UPON HIM.
(Isaiah 53:4-6, 10) “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed…….and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all…….yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him and cause him to suffer.”

HE FULLY MET ALL THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW IN US; HE OBEYED WHAT WE CANNOT OBEY AND PAID WHAT WE CANNOT PAY.
(Rom 8:3-4) For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

Behold the Lamb

Behold the Lamb

MATTHEW, IN HIS GOSPEL QUOTED “ISAIAH 40:3” TO SHOW THAT JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS THE FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY; THE ONE PREPARING THE WAY FOR THE LORD.
(Mat 3:1) In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea
(Mat 3:2) and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
(Mat 3:3) This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the desert, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'”

HOWEVER, IF WE GO TO THE BOOK OF ISAIAH CHAPTER FORTY VERSE THREE, THE ENGLISH WORD “LORD” IN THE ORIGINAL HEBREW IS ACTUALLY “YAHWEH” AND NOT “ADONAI” THE USUAL HEBREW WORD FOR LORD.
(Isa 40:3) A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD (YAHWEH); make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God (ELOHIM).

IN REALITY, THE ONE WHO CAME IN A FORM OF A MAN IS ACTUALLY GOD. IN FACT, JOHN IN HIS GOSPEL CONFIRMED IT.
(Joh 1:1-3) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
(Joh 1:14) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

NO WONDER, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS ALSO CALLED “IMMANUEL” WHICH MEANS “GOD WITH US”!
(Mat 1:23) “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT IN CHRIST, YOU ARE NEVER ALONE; GOD IS WITH YOU AND WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.

My life is hidden with Christ in God

My life is hidden with Christ in God

MANY DO NOT REALIZE THAT CHRIST MEDIATED A NEW COVENANT OF GRACE WITH THE FATHER SO THAT THOSE WHO ARE CALLED MAY RECEIVE THE PROMISED ETERNAL INHERITANCE.
(Heb 9:15) “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a New Covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

FOR THIS REASON, IN CHRIST, WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT) WHERE SIN CANNOT EXERCISE DOMINION OVER US.
(Romans 6:14-15) “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace?
By no means!”

UNDER GRACE, WE DIED AND OUR LIVES ARE NOW HIDDEN WITH CHRIST IN GOD.
(Colossians 3:3) “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
