ETERNAL LIFE

ETERNAL LIFE

AM I 100% SURE OF MY ETERNAL LIFE WITH JESUS

A. KEY BIBLE VERSE

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may KNOW that you have ETERNAL LIFE.”
–(1 John 5:13, NASB)

B. REFLECTION:

Do I know for sure that I have eternal life in JESUS?

If I am certain that God hears my prayers, how should I be living my life? Do I still need to worry?

What uncertainties do I fear should be replaced with the certainty in JESUS?

C. ACTION POINT:

If I am a believer of JESUS
— His person and His work
— and I place my full trust
in Him, eternal life is indeed CERTAIN.

The verse is not telling me that it wishes or desires that I can have one, BUT it is telling me that I must know that I certainly have it — meaning it is for sure, GUARANTEED!

And that is why I need to focus more on what is eternal rather than what is temporal, because eternity is so vast, it’s everlasting compared to my time here on earth.

I shall focus on the beautiful things that are for me in eternity in Christ JESUS, rather than on my temporary uncertainties here on earth.

JESUS is in charge. He is, in fact, holding all things together. “All things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:16-17)

JESUS holds all things and is in charge from eternity past to eternity future. I need not be afraid of the uncertainties of this temporal world, for in JESUS, I have the CERTAINTY… of ETERNAL LIFE! 🙏

JESUS’ RESURRECTION

JESUS’ RESURRECTION

What’s my eternal HOPE?

A. KEY BIBLE VERSE
“JESUS said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies'”
–(John 11:25, NASB)

B. REFLECTION:
How have I “resurrected” from my past life since I committed my life to JESUS?
How does the resurrection of JESUS give me hope in the midst of my troubles?
How does JESUS being Alive and Almighty change my thoughts, actions, and attitude?

C. ACTION POINT:
More than 2000 years ago, JESUS gave up His life on the cross, and His death signified our salvation. But just as important as His death is His resurrection when He rose from the grave 3 days later.

What does the resurrection mean? It means that JESUS is alive! It proves His claims of being the Son of God and Messiah, it displays His divine powers, and it fulfills many promises from the Old Testament.

Why does the resurrection matter? Because it proves that JESUS is almighty! He who has sovereignty over life and death can surely do so much more. Therefore I can trust and be at peace knowing that the almighty God is in control of my life — He forgives my past, He controls my present, and He secures my future. In Him do I find all hope to press on.

No matter what mistakes I have made in the past, what problems I am experiencing in the present, or what fears I may have about the future, I know that I can put my trust in God for He is my living hope and His promises are true.

I will give my life in faith and repentance to the risen Christ who triumphed over death, trust in Him for my salvation, and patiently wait for the sure hope of eternal glory with Him.

JESUS is the resurrection and the life — He is ALIVE, He is ALMIGHTY, and He is the reason for my HOPE! 🙏

P.S. Remember, without the Empty Tomb, the Excruciating Cross is meaningless.

IT IS FINISHED!

IT IS FINISHED!

Do I really believe that my salvation – my going home to Heaven – is already a done deal or it is finished?

A. KEY BIBLE VERSE
“He (JESUS) said, ‘It is FINISHED!’. And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.”
–(John 19:30, NASB)

B. REFLECTION:
Do I truly understand the real meaning and significance of JESUS’ finished work at the cross?
What did JESUS mean when He uttered the words “It is finished”?
Do I see the “finished work of JESUS”, or do I see work that is yet to be completed?

C. ACTION POINT:
God the Son says, “It is Finished!” God the Father says, “It is Done!” (Rev 16:17)
I will always be reminded that whatever I desperately need God to do for me, it has already been “done” because JESUS has accomplished it all for me at the cross.

The sacrifice of JESUS speaks of relationship, a “divine exchange” that happened when He died — He took my place at the Cross.
JESUS was:
-wounded that I might be healed
-rejected that I might be accepted
-cursed that I might be blessed
-bore my sins that I might be righteous
-broken to make me whole
-died that I might LIVE!

JESUS’ work has ended, His task was accomplished, and the battle is over. He died and resurrected triumphantly and now, victory is mine. He died willingly for me, and now… I WILL LIVE FOR HIM. All Glory to JESUS! 🙏

GOD’S WILL or MAN’S WILL

GOD’S WILL or MAN’S WILL

Whose Will would you like to happen in your life?

A. KEY BIBLE VERSE
“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but Yours be done.”
–(Luke 22:42, NIV)

B. REFLECTION:
Am I praying in accordance with the Heavenly Father’s will, OR in accordance with what I want?
Like JESUS, am I willing to depend and submit entirely, moment by moment to the will of God as revealed in His Word?
Do I seek God’s will and willingly align all my desires in full submission to His will?

C. ACTION POINT:
Though it may be easier and more convenient, I will not pursue my preferred action if it violates God’s will and Word.
If I truly trust God, I will have the strength to let go of my wants and passions, and believe that His will is PERFECT, RIGHT, and the very BEST thing for me.
I will resist the urge to pray for my desires, and make sure that my prayers are always in alignment with God’s Word, in which I may be able to find His perfect will. My prayers should always be in submission to His will.
Lord, I embrace Your plans and purposes, and lay down my own for not my will— BUT YOUR’S BE DONE! 🙏
NOTE: In the final reckoning, there are only 2 kinds of people:
1. Those who say to God, “Lord, your will be done!”
AND
2. Those whom God says to them, “Your will be done!”

WHO’S YOUR BOSS

WHO’S YOUR BOSS

Who do you really work for?

A. KEY BIBLE VERSE
“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
–(Colossians 3:23‭-‬24, NASB)

B. REFLECTION:
What are my top struggles when it comes to my work?
What difference does it make when I remember it is the Lord Christ I am really working for?
What are the attributes of the Lord JESUS that most inspire and encourage me to do my best for Him?

C. ACTION POINT:
Work can be exhausting, especially when one relies on his own strength and has no motivation, or has the wrong motivation, to work.
I need to remember that I work, not to serve myself, but to serve and glorify my Lord JESUS. Therefore ALL I do, I shall do with ALL my heart, and I shall do ALL for JESUS.
He gave me the ability, energy, and opportunity to work, therefore I no longer need to rely on my own strength. He is also supportive, He cares for me, and He knows what I need.
He inspires me to do my very best for Him because I know that He blesses and rewards the faithfulness of His people. Indeed, He is the best boss anyone can ever ask for.
Whatever I do, whether big or small, easy or difficult, I shall perform excellently for the Lord and always with a grateful heart.

ALL I do, ALL my heart, and ALL for JESUS! 🙏
