FIRST OF ALL, “NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS”, REFLECTS GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE.
(Rom 8:1) “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”
YOU SEE, IT WAS GOD WHO SENT JESUS CHRIST TO REDEEM US AND IN THE PROCESS OF REDEMPTION, GOD CONDEMNED AND PUNISHED CHRIST FOR ALL THE SINS OF OUR ENTIRE LIVES.
(Isa 53:5-6a, 10a) “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. The LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
(Isa 53:10a) “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him”
NOW IF GOD STILL CONDEMNS AND PUNISHES BELIEVERS FOR THE SAME SINS HE CONDEMNED AND PUNISHED CHRIST FOR, THEN IT WILL MAKE HIM UNJUST. BUT GOD WILL NEVER VIOLATE HIS RIGHTEOUS NATURE.
THIS IS THE REASON WHY UNDER THE “NEW COVENANT”, GOD NEVER CHARGES SIN AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST.
(Heb 10:17) “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
(Rom 4:7) “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.”
(Rom 4:8) “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”
(2Cor 5:19) “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.”
WHEN CHRIST FULLY SATISFIED ALL THE RIGHTEOUS DEMANDS OF THE LAW, EVEN DEATH ON THE CROSS, GOD PROCLAIMED RIGHTEOUS THOSE WHO TRUSTED HIS SON; HENCE, WE ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST.
(2Cor 5:21) “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, GOD IS NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF CONDEMNING AND PUNISHING THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS.
