WHEN CHRIST CAME, HE DID THE WILL OF THE FATHER. HE TOOK AWAY THE FIRST (OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW) AND ESTABLISH THE SECOND (NEW COVENANT OF GRACE).
(Heb 10:9) “Then He said, “Behold, I have come to do your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.”

NOTE: THE “TEN COMMANDMENTS” WAS THE OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW THAT GOD MADE WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. (Deu 4:13) “So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.”

WHEN THE BIBLE SAID, “Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes” (Rom 10:4), IT SIMPLY MEANS THAT CHRIST SUCCEEDED IN TAKING AWAY THE FIRST (OLD COVENANT OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS) AND WAS ABLE TO ESTABLISH THE “SECOND” (NEW COVENANT OF GRACE), OF WHICH HE WAS THE MEDIATOR.
(Heb 8:6) But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
(Heb 8:7) For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.

THEREFORE, THE “FIRST” (OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW) WHICH WAS CONTINGENT ON OBEDIENCE TO THE “TEN COMMANDMENTS” HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY.
(Heb 8:8) “But God found fault with the people and said: “The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”
(Heb 8:9) “It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.”

HOWEVER, THE “TEN COMMANDMENTS” AS GOD’S “MORAL LAW” REMAINS; IT WILL BE THE STANDARD GOD WILL USE IN JUDGING THE UNBELIEVING WORLD (BOTH JEWS AND GENTILES ALIKE) SO THAT THEY MAY BE FOUND GUILTY BEFORE HIM. (Rom 3:19) “Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.”

HOWEVER, THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE. (Rom 6:14-15) “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!”

REMEMBER, GOD DID NOT GIVE THE LAW FOR MEN TO BE JUSTIFIED BY, BUT FOR MEN TO KNOW WHAT SIN IS; FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN. (Rom 3:20) “Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!

Please bear with me for using all capital letters for my comments and small letters for my bible verses. You see, Facebook does not allow bold, italics or the use of different fonts. I tried using all caps for my bible verses and small letters for my comments, but it looked awkward. Thank you for your understanding.
