REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY SAY, THIS GOSPEL TRUTH WILL NEVER CHANGE; SIN ONLY HAS DOMINION OVER THOSE UNDER LAW, BUT NEVER OVER THOSE UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT)! (Rom 6:14-15) “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!”
THE APOSTLE PAUL POSTED A QUESTION THAT REFLECTS THE SARCASM OF HIS DETRACTORS: What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? OF WHICH HE ANSWERED IT WITH A SIMPLE, “Certainly not!”
YOU SEE, UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT), CHRIST GAVE US THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE US. FURTHERMORE, HIS NEW COMMANDMENT AND ADMONITIONS GUIDE OUR PATH.
WE ARE ADMONISHED TO ACCEPT ONE ANOTHER, JUST AS CHRIST ACCEPTED US.
(Rom 15:7) “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
WE ARE ADMONISHED TO FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER JUST AS CHRIST FORGAVE US.
(Col 3:13) “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
WE ARE COMMANDED TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER JUST AS CHRIST LOVED US;
(John 15:12) “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
WE ARE ADMONISHED TO LIVE OR TO WALK BY FAITH
(2Cor 5:7) “We live by faith, not by sight.”
WE ARE ADMONISHED TO FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS, THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH. (Heb 12:2) “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE!
(1Cor 13:13) “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
FOR LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW.
(Rom 13:10) Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Please bear with me for using all capital letters for my comments and small letters for my bible verses. You see, Facebook does not allow bold, italics or the use of different fonts. I tried using all caps for my bible verses and small letters for my comments, but it looked awkward. Thank you for your understanding.
