THE BIBLE EXPLICITLY SAYS THAT GOD HAS SPOKEN TO US IN THESE LAST DAYS BY HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.
(Hebrews 1:1-2) “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, BUT IN THESE LAST DAYS HE HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the

AND YET, MANY OF OUR PULPITS TODAY VEER AWAY FROM PREACHING CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING MESSAGES. YOU SEE, CHRIST IS THE POWER OF GOD AND THE WISDOM OF GOD.
(1 Cor 1:24) “But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”

UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, PREACHING MESSAGES THAT ARE NOT CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING ARE DEVOID OF GOD’S WISDOM AND GOD’S POWER. AND THEREFORE IT CANNOT BUILD FAITH UP NOR CAN IT SAVE. BEAR IN MIND THAT FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING THE WORD OF CHRIST.
(Rom 10:17) “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” (NIV)

CHRIST IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH THAT IS WHY WE ARE ASKED TO FIX OUR EYES ON JESUS.
(Heb 12:2) “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ONLY OBLIGATED TO DEMONSTRATE HIS POWER IF THE PREACHING IS CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING.
(1Cor 2:4) “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.” NOTE: CHRIST IN THE POWER OF GOD.

PREACHING HUMAN WISDOM IN THE PULPIT NEGATES THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS AND PRACTICALLY EMPTIES THE CROSS OF ITS POWER.
(1Cor. 1:17) “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel–not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”

DURING CHRIST’S TRANSFIGURATION, GOD AGAIN SPOKE AND SAID, “LISTEN TO HIM!”
(Matthew 17:5) “While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. LISTEN TO HIM!’”

THE FATHER’S WILL IS ACTUALLY CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING.
(John 6:40) “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS SENT TO GLORIFY JESUS. HE WILL NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN BUT TO BEAR TESTIMONY TO CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS.
(John 16:13-14) “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.”

EVEN THE PROPHETIC UTTERANCES UNDER THE NEW COVENANT ARE CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING.
(Rev 19:10b) “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

EVEN THE ENTIRETY OF THE GOSPEL THAT CHRIST REVEALED TO THE APOSTLE PAUL WAS CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING.
(Gal 1:11-12) “I want you to know brothers that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

THE APOSTLE JOHN ALSO SPOKE ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF OBEYING THE “DOCTRINE OF CHRIST”; THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” THAT CHRIST REVEALED TO THE APOSTLE PAUL.
(2 John 1:9) “Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.”

LISTEN TO WHAT THE LORD TOLD THE MESSENGER (PASTOR) OF THE CHURCH IN EPHESUS.
(Rev 2:4-5a) “Yet I hold this against you: YOU HAVE FORSAKEN YOUR FIRST LOVE. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.”

IF YOU ARE NOT HEARING CHRIST-CENTERED AND CHRIST-EXALTING MESSAGES IN YOUR CHURCH, MOST LIKELY YOU ARE BEING FED WITH WISE AND PERSUASIVE WORDS BASED ON HUMAN WISDOM.
