THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

AFTER ACCEPTING JESUS AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, GOD PLACED US IN CHRIST; IN ESSENCE, NOW OUR NEW IDENTITY IS FOUND IN CHRIST. FOR THIS REASON, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT CHRIST IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, OUR HOLINESS AND OUR REDEMPTION.

CHRIST IS THE MEASURE OF OUR ACCEPTANCE BEFORE GOD.
(1Cor. 1:30-31). “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let him who boasts boast in the Lord’”

KNOWING ALL THESE, WE HAVE CONFIDENCE ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT FOR THE BIBLE ASSURED US THAT “AS CHRIST IS SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD”

(1Jn 4:17) “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He(Christ) is, so are we in this world.”

REMEMBER, CHRIST DID NOT REDEEM US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW SO WE CAN GO BACK TO THE LAW. CHRIST MEDIATED A NEW COVENANT OF GRACE WITH THE FATHER AND PLACED US UNDER IT.
(Heb 8:6) “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”

UNDER GRACE (NEW COVENANT) SIN CANNOT EXERCISE DOMINION OVER US.
(Rom 6:14) For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
(Rom 6:15) What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

GRACED FOR HIS PURPOSED

GRACED FOR HIS PURPOSED

WHEN GOD ASKED YOU TO DO SOMETHING, HE ALSO GIVES YOU THE GRACE TO ACCOMPLISH IT. YOU SEE, IN CHRIST, GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE GOOD WORKS FOR US TO DO. HE THEN GIVES US THE WILLINGNESS AND THE PERFORMANCE OF IT.
(Eph 2:10) “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
(Php 2:13) “For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose”

AMAZINGLY, AFTER YOU FULFILL IT, OUR LOVING GOD REWARDS YOU FOR THE WORK THAT HE HIMSELF HAS GIVEN THE GRACE IN ACCOMPLISHING IT.
(Eph 6:7-8) “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.”

YOU SEE, EACH OF US RECEIVED THE GIFT OF GRACE AS CHRIST APPORTIONED IT. HOWEVER, IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE GOD’S GRACE IN VAIN.
(Eph 4:7) “But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.”
(2Cor 6:1) “As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.”

THE APOSTLE PAUL FOR INSTANCE WORKED HARDER THAN ALL THE APOSTLES COMBINED, AND YET HE SAID, “NOT I, BUT THE GRACE OF GOD THAT WAS WITH ME.”
(1Cor 15:10) “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

OLD and NEW Covenant

OLD and NEW Covenant

MANY DO NOT REALIZE THAT WHEN GOD GAVE THE LAW (TEN COMMANDMENTS) TO THE ISRAELITES, IT WAS IN A FORM OF COVENANT, ALSO KNOWN AS THE OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW. NOTICE THAT THE GENTILES WERE NOT INCLUDED OR PART OF THIS COVENANT.
(Exo 34:28) Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
(Deu 4:13) “So He declared to you His covenant which He commandedyou to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.”

HOWEVER, IF YOU GO BACK FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY YEARS (430 YEARS) BEFORE THE GIVING OF THE LAW, THE GENTILES WERE INCLUDED IN THE PROMISE GOD MADE TO ABRAHAM; THAT ABRAHAM WILL BE THE FATHER OF MANY NATIONS THROUGH HIS SEED, WHO IS CHRIST.
(Gal 3:16) The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.

WHEN CHRIST CAME, HE BECAME THE MEDIATOR OF A NEW COVENANT OF GRACE FOUNDED ON BETTER PROMISES (Heb. 8:6-13) COMPARED TO THE OLD ONE. IT WAS ON THIS COVENANT THAT BOTH GENTILES AND JEWS ARE BEING USHERED IN OR ADOPTED IN THE FAMILY OF GOD (Gal 4:4-7).

WHEN CHRIST CAME, THE OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW ENDED TO GIVE WAY TO THE NEW COVENANT OF GRACE WHERE THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS GIVEN BY FAITH.
(Rom 10:4) Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

BE ESTABLISHED IN THE PRESENT TRUTH

BE ESTABLISHED IN THE PRESENT TRUTH

THE APOSTLE PETER NEVER CEASES TO REMIND HIS BRETHREN TO BE ESTABLISHED IN THE “PRESENT TRUTH” ALTHOUGH THEY ALREADY WERE. (2Pe 1:12) “For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.”

THE “PRESENT TRUTH” THAT PETER WAS TALKING ABOUT WAS NONE OTHER THAN THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” THAT CHRIST REVEALED TO THE APOSTLE PAUL (Gal 1:11-12/Acts 20:24), AND THAT YEARS LATER WAS ASKED BY GOD TO ALSO BE SHARED TO THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS IN JERUSALEM.
(Gal 2:1-2a) “Fourteen years later I went back to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me. I went because God revealed to me that I should go. In a private meeting with the leaders I explained the gospel message that I preach to the Gentiles.” (Gnb)

THE APOSTLE PAUL CLAIMED EXCLUSIVITY OF REVELATION OF THE “GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE” BY USING THE WORD “MY GOSPEL”.
(Rom 16:25-26) “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to MY GOSPEL and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith”

PAUL NOT ONLY CLAIMED THE UNIVERSALITY OF THE GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE, BUT REITERATES HIS CALLING AS ITS MINISTER.
(Col 1:23b) “This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.”

HE MENTIONED IN HIS LETTER TO TIMOTHY THAT SOUND DOCTRINE CONFORMS TO THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL THE GOD ENTRUSTED TO HIM.
(1Ti 1:10-11) “for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.”

MARRIED TO A NEW HUSBAND

MARRIED TO A NEW HUSBAND

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE LAW HAS AUTHORITY OVER A MAN ONLY AS LONG AS HE LIVES.
(Rom 7:1) “Do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to men who know the law—that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?” (more…)
