WHERE’S YOUR DEAD BELOVED?

WHERE’S YOUR DEAD BELOVED?

1. WHERE’S YOUR DEAD BELOVED NOW?
(Nasaan na ngayon ang namatay mo nang mahal sa buhay?)

When the flesh and bones of your dead beloved are buried 6 feet deep under the earth, how can she be in Heaven now?

Kindly note that after Jesus Christ was crucified, died and rose from the dead, He left an empty tomb. This means that His physical/earthly body was transformed into a resurrected/glorified body prior to His ascension back to Heaven, isn’t it?

So, when and how will your dead beloved be resurrected and get to Heaven – body, soul and spirit?

GOD WHO SEES (El Roi)

GOD WHO SEES (El Roi)

Do you believe that God can see even in total darkness?

(Hagar) gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me.”, for she said, “I have seen the One who sees me.” (Genesis 16: 13).

God who sees (El Roi) is a combination of two Hebrew words: El meaning “All-powerful God” and Roi meaning “to see”. When these two words are combined as El Roi, it means “The All-powerful God who sees everything in the universe”.

Even in their old age, God promised Abraham and his wife, Sarah, that they will have a child. But after many years of trying, Sarah wouldn’t conceive. So Sarah told Abraham to father a child to her servant, Hagar. And Abraham obliged.

When Hagar became pregnant, Sarah became jealous and mistreated her. Because of Sarah’s abuse, Hagar ran away but she couldn’t escape “El Roi”.

God saw Hagar in the desert and help her in her distress until she gave birth to a son – Ishmael.

Right now, do you feel alone, abandoned, powerless, lonely, and/or in distress?

Please remember that whatever your circumstance is and wherever you are, like Hagar, God sees and cares for you. If Hagar couldn’t outrun “El Roi’s” presence, neither can you. So, trust Him to help you in your distress.

Remember, you are never out of “El Roi’s” sight even when you’re in the total darkness of your life.

TRUE BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST – Part 6

Our Statement of Beliefs, Practices and Virtues (Part 5 of 6) – (565 words)
(Think, Act and Be like Jesus)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5: 17).

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20: 23).

C. THE FRUIT: With our Virtues, We are Becoming like JESUS

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12: 2).

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5: 22-23).

With the Holy Spirit in us and leading us, living our lives like Jesus Christ is absolutely, positively the best way to live – now and forever. In sum, we want to BE LIKE JESUS and to share His abundant life in us to others.

6. FAITHFULNESS – “Well done good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.” (Matthew 25: 21).

We have established a good name with God and other people based on our loyalty and commitment to these relationships.

7. GENTLENESS – “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4: 5).

We are considerate, thoughtful and calm in our dealings with others.

8. SELF-CONTROL – “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”. (Titus 2: 11-13).

We have the power through Jesus Christ to control ourselves – our tongues, our minds, our hearts, our hands, and our wills. We let the Holy Spirit in us leads and guides our lives.

9. HUMILITY – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than others. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also the interests of others.” (Philippians 2: 3-4).

As children of God with gratitude, honesty and courage to serve, we choose to esteem others above ourselves.

10. HOPE – “But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 8-9).

We believe in our hearts that the New Heaven and the New Earth are our eternal destinies because He – God – who promised these to us is faithful, true and trustworthy. And we share our hope, which is 100% sure, to others.

It’s all about JESUS CHRIST – our LORD and our GOD. (John 20: 28). To GOD be all glory!

1. LOVE – “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4: 10-12).

God’s love is unconditional, unchanging, inexhaustible, unmerited, generous beyond measure, and is for all.

We are created by God for relationships and thus, we are committed to loving God and loving other people – both friends and enemies.

2. JOY – “Be joyful always; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18).

Joy is the outward expression – thanksgiving. delights and sharing – of our inner experience – the grace and love of God. We can only keep and sustain our joy by giving it away to others so that they may also have joy in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thus, despite any circumstance in our lives, we feel inner contentment and understand our purposes in life.

3. PEACE – “Do not be anxious about anything, but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4: 6-7).

Peace is having the state of total well-being and wholeness from God (physical, mental, financial, etc. – Shalom).

We are free from anxieties because we have found peace with God, peace with ourselves and peace with others.

4. PATIENCE – “A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.” (Proverbs 14: 29).

We are slow to anger and endure patiently the unavoidable pressures of life.

5. KINDNESS / GOODNESS – “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 15).

We always express kindness and goodness in our relationships with others.

WE ARE TRUE BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST – PART 4

WE ARE TRUE BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST – PART 4

Our Statement of Beliefs, Practices and Virtues (Part 4 of 6) – (581 words)
(Think, Act and Be like Jesus)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5: 17).

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20: 23).

B. THE TREE: With our Practices, We Act like JESUS

Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14: 23).

Jesus replied, ” Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22: 37-39).

6. LIVING SACRIFICE – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.” (Romans 12: 1).

We dedicate and commit our lives to God’s purposes, honor and glory.

7. SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY – “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2: 9).

We are part of the body of Christ. And we fellowship with other true Believers to accomplish God’s purposes in our lives, in the lives of others, and in the world.

8. SPIRITUAL GIFTS – “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” (Romans 12: 4-6).

God freely gives us gifts. Each one of us know our spiritual gifts and we gladly use these to fulfill God’s purposes, to advance His Kingdom and to serve other people. We all aim to hear this from our Master – God, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

9. PROSPERITY and GIVING – “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…” (Deuteronomy 8: 18). “But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8: 7).

God is our source and provider. We give our resources, money, time, and effort to support and fulfill God’s purposes and to love others.

10. SHARING OUR FAITH or EVANGELISM – “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28: 19-20).

Since we know that we are sinners saved by grace and totally forgiven by God, we became lovers of people, sharing our faith and hope of eternal life in Heaven with them. We are Jesus Christ’s Ambassadors of reconciliation.

It’s all about JESUS CHRIST – our LORD and our GOD. (John 20: 28). To GOD be all glory!
